In the last part, we discussed a little about city of Vaughan and its development activity. In this part 2, Let us turn our spotlight to Thornhill, one of Vaughan's neighbourhoods.
A number of new residential buildings are in construction in Thornhill. One such pre-construction condo project is The Thornhill condos by Daniels Corporation and BAIF Developments.
The Thornhill Condos
The Thornhill will be a mixed use, master planned community with 4 residential towers with retail stores on a 3 ½ acre land. It will be located at Bathurst Street & Beverley Glen Boulevard, a well-connected and accessible location. This location has very convenient transit options. In fact, it will be adjacent to Viva Transit line. Commuter highway network is within a short driving distance.
This is an amenities-rich area and the residents at The Thornhill will enjoy an easy access to Promenade shopping mall and a number of South Thornhill’s other shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment. Some of these stores are LCBO, Walmart, Home Sense and No Frills and restaurants like Swiss Chalet, Bagel World and Rotisserie & Grill. There are also a number of schools that will serve this community.
Thornhill Green Park is just across the road and few other parks like Rosedale North Park and Bathurst District Park are a short walk away. Above all, if you are a golfer then enjoy golfing at Uplands Golf & Ski Club.
The first tower of The Thornhill will go on sale on October 16, 2019 via Platinum agents and will be 25-storeys tall. It will offer a range of inviting one to three-bedroom suites with modern designs and finishes. As with Daniels past projects they are expected to offer a range of building amenities for the enjoyment of the residents. Prices are expected to start in the upper three hundred thousand.
Proximity to Major Centres
It takes about ½ hour to travel from Thornhill to downtown Toronto and 10 minutes to Vaughan Metro Centre. Thornhill has its share of highways. Highway 407 runs through this community and other highways like 401, 400 and 404 are within a short driving distance.
Ethnic diversity is another major aspect of Thornhill. In fact, people from Jewish, Chinese, Korean, Italian and Iranian background make up a significant portion of population in Thornhill.
